THE HUMAN TOUCH

Exhibition at the Fitzwilliam Museum with Nelly Duff.

Drawing on works of art spanning four thousand years and from across the globe, this exhibition explored the fundamental role of touch in human experience and offered new ways of looking. The curators explored anatomy and skin; the relationship between the brain, hand, and creativity; touch, desire and possession; ideological touch; reverence and iconoclasm. A final section collected a range of reflections, historic and contemporary, on touch.

As Nelly Duff’s gallery manager at the time - Bee oversaw the artist liaison, site sourcing and production of three murals, a printed edition and wrapping of the local busses. The printed editions for this exhibition were a traditional screen print available in three colour ways and some original sketches used in the process of designing the murals with the museum’s curators.
